Giving back

The Becker Big Lake Ice Association is looking to build a 30,000 square foot multi-purpose ice arena right here in Big Lake. The facility will be able to support a broad range of youth activities and public events. Having an ice arena here is Big Lake will allow our youth hockey teams that currently have to drive to Princeton to practice, sometimes at 5 AM in the morning, to play right here in town, bringing other teams to the area which will benefit the local economy.

The Jonathan Zierdt Cancer Fund, a donor advised fund of the Mankato Area Foundation, was established in 2017 by Jonathan and Ginger Zierdt and a guiding coalition of engaged community leaders to build community cancer awareness and support.
