Outside Events Coordinator

Compensation: Range $20.00- $23.00 per hour

Job Description

The Outside Event Coordinator is responsible for the successful flow of outside/external events for Lupulin Brewing Company through full coordination of events; including lining up events, managing staffing and ensuring the highest level of professionalism on behalf of the street team.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Ensure optimal staffing for all outside events including liquor store tastings, tap showcases, and festivals via requests from the Sales team and/or Sales Manager
• Responsible to submit the Brewer Sampling Notice to the MN AGED in advance of any retail liquor store tastings.
• Work with the Sales Manager and Sales Team to determine participation within existing, new or potential markets 
• Train new Street Team staff members 
• Maintain up to date knowledge of the beer styles and tap selections at Lupulin Brewing Company, as well as other craft brewery styles 
• Assist Sales Director and/or Brand Manager in informing and training the Street Team of new LBC product mix
• The Outside Event Coordinator will also be required to perform the roles & responsibilities of the Brand Ambassador role. 

Requirements/Qualifications

• ~10 hours for “coordinator responsibilities” per bi-weekly pay period + variable hours for events worked
• Must be 21+ years old
• Required to have held role as Brand Ambassador or similar 
• Must have knowledge of Google Suite or Microsoft Office as an equivalent
• Mechanical experience and aptitude preferred 
• Evening and weekend availability required to train street team staff and coordinate/lead events as needed 
• Cicerone Beer Server or similar certification preferred, if not already certified, completion of Cicerone Beer Server certification is expected within 60 days of hire.
• Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills
• Self-motivated, able to perform tasks with minimal supervision from home or at the brewery within the predetermined hours.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrated knowledge and love of craft beer, including the ability to speak with knowledge about beer styles and basic brewing processes
• Holds or willing to obtain within 60 days – Cicerone certification or equivalent (BJCP)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Attention to details
• Demonstrated leadership abilities
• Professional working knowledge of basic MS office software such as Word, Excel, etc.
• Fun, positive attitude is a must

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

• Requires an individual who can work under a range of circumstances including working outdoors in the heat 
• Required to stand for extended periods of time 
• Required to lift boxes 35-50 lbs and move empty/full kegs(up to 170 lbs) with aid of a keg truck
